Getting Involved: it’s as easy as…
Global Orphan Foundation has faced plenty of challenges over the past 13 years. These challenges have taught us something different and new, and we’ve come out stronger because of them. One of our consistent obstacles has been how to give people in the US a satisfying volunteer experience when we’re not able to take everyone with us on a trip to DRC.
This issue has grown more and more frustrating as our programs and impact have expanded, and our followers have wanted to be more involved in what we’re doing. Until now, we didn’t have a great path forward. Rest assured, we have come up with some great ways for you all to get more involved!

Here’s a list of how you can join us.
A new GOF Ambassador Program. A GOF Ambassador is a volunteer that wants to serve orphaned children simply and easily in a way that fits in with their daily life. Why are GOF Ambassadors important? Every nonprofit needs help. We need more people to know about and love our programs. We need more e-news signups, donors, and to stay on top of people’s minds. GOF Ambassadors will serve as marketing partners with GOF, sharing our social media content, and creating their own posts and stories telling why they love GOF and our mission. Starting an online fundraiser. Most nonprofits raise funds to support their mission through people asking people they know to support a cause that they believe in at a reasonable amount. GOF is no different. Starting an online fundraising page is quick, simple, and effective. Once you have a page, you can share to your social media and message your friends why GOF is important and ask them to support your goal. Here is a video that will walk you through starting your page.
Hosting an in-person fundraiser. If you don’t think an online fundraiser is for you - host an in-person event! It could be a bake sale, a Poshmark page where you sell clothes you no longer wear, a jeans day at work. Here is a guide on how to get started.
Hosting a dinner experience. Want to make a more personal appeal to people you think will identify with our mission? A GOF Dinner Experience might be for you! A GOF dinner is a fun way to share your passion with people in your life. Your dinner can be as simple or elaborate as you’d like – it’s your choice. You bring people together, enjoy a meal, and at some point, talk about Global Orphan Foundation; it’s that simple! Learn more here.
